Responsibilities*
- Design and develop protein-based diagnostics within microfluidic systems to detect analytes of interest.
- Utilize quantum dot and bead-based immunoassay techniques for the detection of traumatic brain injury (TBI) biomarkers at the point-of-care.
- Work towards achieving single molecule detection for precision diagnosis and treatment of TBI patients.
- Contribute to the development of selective printing of polymeric materials with different Young's modulus for the construction of various human organs and body parts.
- Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
Required Qualifications*
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong expertise in designing protein-based diagnostics and working with microfluidic systems.
- Experience with quantum dot and bead-based immunoassay techniques.
- Knowledge of biomarker detection and point-of-care testing.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing stereolithography systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
